Probate

Probate is a court order made by the Supreme Court of New South Wales proving the last will and testament of the deceased. It authorises the named Executor to administer the Estate in accordance with the Will.

Letters of Administration

Letters of Administration is a court order made by the Supreme Court of New South Wales which authorises the administrator appointed by the court to administer the Estate. it applies where the deceased died without a Will.

Estate Administration

In some cases, particularly estates of lesser value, Probate or Letters of Administration may not be required to transfer the assets of the deceased and finalise the Estate.
